Erica has been working in the animal field since 1984. She grew up in southern California and attended Mt. San Antonio Community College, where she graduated with her Associates of Science degree in Animal Science. She earned her State License as an Animal Health Technician in 1986.
She left southern California in November 1999 and moved to Panama City Beach, Florida, and after her divorce, she and her daughter, moved to The Villages, Florida area in June 2006, where they still reside.
In June 2011, she took a 2 year hiatus from the veterinary field, and earned her Florida State License as a Pharmacy Technician. She realized that “the grass was not always greener” and in 2013 joined Dr. Drum’s practice at Colony Plaza Animal Hospital, where she is happy again working with cats and dogs.
She has proudly raised her daughter, as a single parent, and is excited that her daughter will start college in the fall.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her daughter poking around the local antique stores, shopping at the local farmer’s market, baking and cooking, and spending time with their 5 cats (Polly, Trooper, who only has 3 legs, Mittens, Orange Man, and Gracie), and her “little old lady” Angel, their 13 year old Dachshund.
